About This Prospect Pride Stables provides therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with disabilities. We are looking for volunteers for our upcoming fall session.

Volunteers are needed to lead horses or side-walk for riders with special needs. No prior horse experience necessary. As a leader you need the ability to understand & carry out direct instructions. As a side-walker you need to comprehend instructions & pass them onto the rider & may also need to physically assist/support the rider. Both positions require physical endurance, verbal skills, & excellent English comprehension.

Volunteers must be 15 yrs or older and no horse experience is necessary.





We ask that our volunteers commit to 90 minutes once a week for the entire 8-week session. We offer classes Monday-Thursday during the day and evening and on Saturdays. The fall session runs from late September to mid-November.

Fall 2026 Training Dates-You only need to attend one session.
