Duties
Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
Source fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to uphold quality and freshness
Collaborate with team members to develop current menu items and improve existing offerings
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs proactively
Train junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, presentation, and safety protocols
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation





Skills
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a qualified kitchen setting
Solid knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus for engaging with younger guests or students during events or workshops
Passion for culinary arts, especially Japanese cuisine, with a creative flair for presentation
Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation
