Become a vital member of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services in Surrey, BC as a Licensed Psychologist. This hybrid position aims to provide essential mental health services to youth involved in the justice system. As part of the BC Public Service, you will assess young individuals' psychological needs and deliver specialized therapy while overseeing junior colleagues.
Collaborating with community agencies and probation services, your work will significantly influence positive outcomes for young people in a challenging setting. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out independent psychological evaluations and assessments
Collaborate with teams for holistic treatment approaches
Mentor junior psychologists in clinical practices
Participate in relevant research to enhance psychological services
Guide treatment development for the youth justice population Requirements:
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology is a must
Must be registered or eligible for registration with CHCPBC
Experience in Clinical Adolescent Psychology for at least three years
Preferred postgraduate training in Forensic Psychology
