Provide strategic leadership in parks and recreation planning
Oversee a diverse team and unionized workforce
Develop community engagement strategies and partnerships
Ensure service delivery meets Council and community expectations
Manage financial resources and budget allocation Requirements:
Degree in Recreation, Resource Management, or similar
At least eight years of senior leadership experience in the public sector
Robust skills in strategic thinking and communication
Possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Experience leading in a unionized setting Contribute to Nanaimo’s vibrant culture and lifestyle through impactful leadership.
