The Property Team:
The Property team drives innovation and design excellence across all the JD Group facilities in Canada. The department designs, builds, delivers, and maintains inspiring commercial retail environments for our consumers to maximize their shopping experience while maximizing profitability for the Group. Our in-house team of experts manages all aspects of property, from site selection and consumer insight, acquisitions, estate management, design/architecture, project management, cost control, and maintenance.
The Role:
Reporting to Facilities Manager, the Facilities Coordinator supports the stores, head office, and warehouses regarding all repairs, maintenance tasks, utilities, and minor improvements. The Facilities Coordinator will also support on an ad-hoc basis with initiatives, cross-functional projects, and open-store tasks. Depending on the assignment within the team, Agile store support may be a primary responsibility,
including tasks related to operating our retail stores and taking part in various actions and initiatives specific to meet those objectives.
The Facilities Coordinator will efficiently execute reactive and programmed maintenance and service calls within established budgets and service level agreements.
The Facilities Coordinator may be required to be available outside of business hours to respond to critical emergencies within our stores. A successful Facilities Coordinator is a valuable organization member who contributes to company success by maintaining our retail stores' on-brand appearance and function.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Support with all IT & Facilities related work order requests from stores in a strategic and timely manner.
- Ensure repair timeline SLAs are met.
- Respond to maintenance queries from stores.
- Execute cross-functional initiatives and special projects as they arise.
- Support with the planning and installation of IT infrastructure across multiple NSO’s.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and the ability to review & analyze technical drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
- Support with managing the calendar of maintenance programs per established frequencies and scopes of work.
- Assist in managing individual budgets as assigned.
- Receive, process, and approve maintenance and utility invoices.
- View to reduce waste, both financial and physical, whenever possible.
- Attend regular meetings with internal and external partners, prepared to share information and provide weekly updates.
- Strive to improve business processes.
- Set, maintain, and communicate the standards of excellence.
- Build project teams and harness strong working relationships with GCs and 3rd party suppliers.
- Work with H&S;, Loss Prevention & IT on ad hoc requests/rollouts.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance - Robust mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of the retail environment
- Versatile with capacity and capabilities to manage multiple projects & prioritise accordingly.
- Tech-savvy & proficient in MS Office and Excel
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Open to learning and accessible to all levels of the organization
- Possess organizational, time management, and trouble-shooting competence.
- Excellent team player and capability to work independently.
- Positive, self-motivated & with a pro-active mindset, knowing when to take initiative.
- Superb communication skills - verbal and written to Retail and internal stakeholders.
- Deadline driven and solution oriented.
