ECO Canada invites experienced trainers to support the delivery of exciting ocean micro-credentials throughout Canada. This role offers the flexibility of contract engagements focusing on vital skills in the blue economy.
As a trainer, you will conduct in-person sessions lasting 2-6 days, teaching courses on coastal monitoring, restoration, and climate adaptation using pre-developed materials. Candidates with a solid background in marine or environmental sectors will thrive in this role, making a difference in communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate interactive, hands-on training sessions
• Use pre-developed materials to enhance learning
• Customize delivery based on community specifics
• Engage participants of all backgrounds and experiences
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement in training
Requirements:
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in coastal or marine fields
• Experience in training, workshops, or facilitation
• Excellent communication and engagement skills
• Ability to translate complex ideas into practical lessons
• Must be willing to travel for training delivery
