About This Opportunity
Are you passionate about bringing people together and creating meaningful connections? U+ Toastmasters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals build their public speaking and leadership skills, is looking for an Event Planning Assistant Volunteer and help organize engaging networking sessions and events that support our mission and community! This is a great opportunity to build hands‑on experience in event planning while contributing to a vibrant, purpose‑driven organization.
What You’ll Do
- Support the planning and coordination of networking events, workshops, and meetings
- Help with event promotion via email, social media, and community outreach
- Assist with event logistics like scheduling, registration, venue setup (in‑person or virtual), and materials prep
- Welcome and guide attendees to create a friendly, inclusive environment
- Contribute to team discussions and planning sessions

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn! Ideal candidates will meet the following:
- Age between 12 – 30
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning recent skills and software
- Commitment to completing basic training
- Fluent in English
- Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (if over 18)
Bonus Skills
- Experience in event planning
- Fluency or strong proficiency in a language other than English
