We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport goods efficiently across various routes. Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy trucks to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with care and precision to prevent damage or injury
Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and delivery schedules for smooth operations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Follow all safety protocols and company policies during transportation activities
Assist with securing cargo and ensuring proper weight distribution for safe transit
Skills
Proven experience in driving heavy trucks with a solid focus on safety and efficiency
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading cargo
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws
Strong physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual tasks involved in loading/unloading
Valuable communication skills for clear interactions with team members and clients
Attention to detail in completing logs, reports, and inspection checklists
Ability to stay focused and alert during extended driving periods
