Support elderly individuals at North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Registered Practical Nurse dedicated to Regional Dementia Care Services. This role is essential for the treatment of older adults, particularly those over 65, who experience complex medical and psychological issues.
Candidates must hold a valid College of Nurses of Ontario registration, along with recent certifications in Basic Life Support and Gentle Persuasive Approach. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring effective care delivery through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat older adults dealing with dementia
Implement best practices for behavior management
Collaborate in care planning with multidisciplinary staff
Document patient interactions and maintain standards
Contribute to a protected, prevention-focused setting Requirements:
Active Certificate of Registration from Ontario's nursing body
Basic Life Support certification (recently completed)
