Position Overview

The Unit Aide is responsible for supporting the work of the team by ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available for the smooth operation of the clinic and to support care delivery activities. The Aide also performs other general duties as requested by the Clinical Leader or delegate to support the work of the team members involved in direct patient care. These duties may include, but are not limited to: maintenance of equipment and furnishings, ordering of supplies, preparing operatories for dental procedures, water testing, flushing water lines, transporting specimens to the lab, and general tidying and upkeep of operatories, the waiting room, and emergency kits.

Hours of Work

Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00

Requirements

- Minimum grade 12 or GED, required.
- Previous experience in a health care setting is an asset.
- Ability to organize and prioritize, maintaining the functioning of the unit in an organized, safe, and clean manner.
- Valuable communication skills required.
- Commitment to Family Centered Care required.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work effectively.




- Competency in other languages is considered an asset.
