Become a crucial part of the team at CAMH as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Withdrawal Service. This role focuses on caring for clients with complex needs in a supportive, medically-supervised workplace. This part-time, permanent position requires a commitment of 0.3 with 12-hour shifts, including weekends, and is based at the Queen Street Site.
Your responsibilities will include assessing clients’ health, administering medications, and utilizing harm reduction principles. Your leadership skills will shine as you take charge on various shifts, guiding clients towards recovery. Key Responsibilities:
Perform assessments using standardized pharmacological protocols
Administer intravenous medications and manage wound care
Support clients through motivational interviewing techniques
Lead as Charge Nurse in the afternoons and weekends
Participate in ongoing professional development prospects Requirements:
Current registration as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Valid B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate
Experience in psychiatric nursing is an asset
