Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods between locations
Load and unload items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
Assist customers with their belongings, ensuring respectful and friendly service throughout the process
Use effective communication skills to coordinate delivery schedules and relay important information to team members
Conduct safety inspections on vehicles before and after trips to ensure compliance with transportation regulations
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements within the warehouse system
Follow safety protocols for heavy lifting and moving to prevent injuries and ensure a secure work environment
Skills
Proven experience in moving heavy items safely and efficiently
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate driving certification for commercial vehicles
Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment (certification preferred)
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Warehouse experience is highly desirable for understanding inventory handling procedures
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and working in various environments
