Part -Time Executive Director (Non-Profit)

Valley After the Bell Society is a non-profit society that targets childhood food insecurity in the Annapolis Valley. Our mission is to reduce food insecurity for school aged children by sending students home with bags of food on weekends. We are in 16 schools and provide over 8000 bags of food per year. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who believes in our mission, someone who can manage daily operations, work with the board, oversee financial administration, manage social media and cultivate donor relationships. Valley After the Bell Society is looking for a part-time Executive Director who enjoys operational leadership and strategic oversight. This part-time position will be 2 days per week with some flexibility. Ideal candidates may come from an education background, be emerging nonprofit leaders or seasoned specialists seeking a adaptable, mission-driven role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations





• Implement the organization's strategic priorities effectively

• Serve as the liaison with the Board and manage operations

• Oversee financial administration and ensure compliance

• Strengthen financial sustainability through diverse revenue initiatives

• Cultivate donor relationships and spearhead fundraising efforts

• Work with suppliers to manage the procurement and delivery of food to fulfill program needs

Requirements:

• Solid Work Ethic

• Strong social media skills

• Experience organizing volunteers and managing operations

• Knowledge of nonprofit governance and funding processes

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

Pay - $25 - $35 per hour
