1-Year Contract (Perm TBD) – $85k+10% Legal Counsel – Fashion – Montreal (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking a business-oriented Legal Counsel to join its legal team on a one-year contract basis. While it is a one-year contract, the position could evolve into a permanent role and the candidate is still entitled to 5+ weeks of paid vacation.

Based in Montreal (3 days/week onsite), this role will support Canadian and U.S. operations on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, including contracts, intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, product compliance, and supply chain initiatives.

This is an excellent prospect for a pragmatic lawyer who enjoys working closely with business stakeholders and providing practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
1+ years of post-bar experience
Robust contract drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and exercise sound judgment.




Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadline management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, licensing, marketing, technology, intellectual property, and supply chain contracts.
Provide legal and compliance guidance to cross-functional teams.
Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while supporting business objectives.
Deliver legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with legal and business teams on strategic initiatives and day-to-day matters.
