Job Summary The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a motivated Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant for a full‑time position in Orthopedics at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications and accompanied by a advantages package. Position is not a medical assistant nor a medical office assistant.
Responsibilities Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations and interventions. Conduct history and physical examinations in various settings, including the Emergency Department and wards; monitor patients in the pre‑, peri‑, and postoperative wards and other clinical settings. Attend clinical and educational rounds.
Document all patient encounters in standard of practice recordings; may require dictation or utilization of electronic medical records where available. Communicate effectively in English with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Qualifications - Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant.
Eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment.
Graduate of an acceptable Physician Assistant Educational Program under CPSM (prior experience preferred).
For Clinical Assistants: Graduate of an accredited medical school in Canada or abroad.
Have at least one of the following clinical assistant assessments: Clinical Assistant Assessment, NAC OSCE, or LMCC.
