Airswift is seeking an experienced Nurse II to work on a contract basis with one of our clients in Edmonton, Alberta.
We are seeking an experienced Nurse II to provide occupational health services across multiple sites and support regional health initiatives. This role combines clinical expertise, employee health management, occupational risk assessment, and health program leadership within a dynamic operational workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational health services and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Assess and determine employee Fitness for Work status.
Manage occupational injury and illness cases, including return-to-work processes.
Conduct occupational health evaluations and travel health assessments.
Analyze health surveillance and screening data to identify potential workplace health risks.
Develop recommendations based on individual and workforce health trends.
Support compliance with occupational health regulations and company standards.
Train healthcare specialists and external medical providers on occupational health practices and guidelines.
Coordinate alcohol and drug testing programs as required.
Participate in Safety, Security, Health, and Setting (SSHE) initiatives and projects.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Nursing Degree (BSN or equivalent).
Advanced Nursing Degree, Nurse Practitioner (NP), APRN, Physician Assistant, or equivalent preferred.
Current professional license in the country/state of practice.
Strong knowledge of occupational health, occupational medicine, and workplace health programs.
Experience with clinical case management and health surveillance programs.
Knowledge of occupational health regulations and industry standards.
Experience in industrial, energy, manufacturing, or corporate occupational health environments is preferred.
