Personal Support Worker – Home Support (Hugh)

Location: Intersection of Tutor Dr and Spitfire Dr, Comox, B.C

Wage: $25 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Employment type: Permanent, full time position

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Setting: Employer’s private home in Comox, B.C

Job Duties:
Administer bedside and personal care while ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of the individual.
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk to help maintain mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
Launder clothing and household linens ensuring cleanliness and proper organization of personal belongings.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a secure, sanitary, and comfortable living workplace.
Provide companionship through meaningful conversations, recreational activities,



and emotional support.
Provide personal care, including assistance with grooming, dressing, and hygiene needs.
Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals that accommodate dietary preferences, restrictions, and health requirements.
Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition or needs to family members.

Qualifications:
Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Certificate: Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates
