Elevate your career as a Lead Network Engineer with the National Science Foundation at Palmer Station, Antarctica. You will ensure network reliability and provide user support within a vital research facility. This full time role requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.

As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and security of all network systems. Your experience with complex networks, especially using Cisco technologies, will be essential in a challenging workplace located on the edge of the world.

Key Responsibilities




Configure and maintain network hardware and software • Monitor systems for reliability and performance issues • Support and manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager • Facilitate video conferencing for consultations • Assist Systems Administrator with server management Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field • Minimum of 5 years of networking experience • Skilled in troubleshooting multi-vendor network issues • Knowledge of Microsoft and VMware systems is beneficial • Solid communication skills for assisting users Utilize your network engineering expertise at the NSF to make an impact in Antarctica.
