Job Summary

Duties
Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, and other specialties with precision and artistry
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food handling, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling practices at all times




Serve as a key leader in restaurant management by coordinating with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service

Skills
Proven supervising experience in a quick-paced restaurant environment specializing in Japanese cuisine
Extensive food preparation and cooking skills with knowledge of traditional Japanese ingredients and techniques
Strong food service experience with a focus on high-quality presentation and customer satisfaction
Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and optimize kitchen performance
Solid understanding of restaurant management principles including food safety regulations and inventory control
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and ensure smooth operations
Passion for the food industry with a commitment to hospitality excellence and continuous learning
