Become an Agricultural Assistant at a research facility in Ariss, Ontario, focusing on beef cattle management and facility maintenance. This role provides a comprehensive view of agricultural operations and livestock care. Set to last from April 13, 2026, to September 30, 2027, you will report to the Foreperson and oversee cow/calf and feedlot management.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring proper feeding, record-keeping, and adhering to health standards within a team-oriented research environment. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee operational aspects of cattle feeding
Collaborate with researchers on data collection
Ensure the upkeep of facilities and cleanliness
Handle equipment and large trucks carefully
Adhere to animal health and safety protocols Requirements:
Two-year diploma in Agriculture essential
Minimum two years in beef operations required
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Computer proficiency and detail orientation
Class G driver’s license necessary Contribute to creative agricultural practices while gaining valuable experience in livestock management.
