Job Summary

Responsibilities
Manage transportation management systems (TMS) to schedule, track, and optimize freight movements across the supply chain.
Coordinate dispatch activities for freight carriers, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining high levels of communication with drivers and clients.
Utilize multi-line phone systems to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally, providing clear instructions and updates.
Conduct analysis of shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities,



shipment statuses, and driver logs to ensure compliance and transparency.
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when liaising with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to foster positive relationships.

Experience
Previous experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or in a logistics/distribution environment is highly preferred.
Proficiency in using systems such as AS400 or SyteLine for shipping & receiving processes.
Robust data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping.
Demonstrated analysis skills to interpret shipping data and improve operational workflows.
Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for multi-line phone system handling.
Experience with shipping & receiving procedures within a quick-paced environment is a plus.
