Drive financial accountability as a Controller at Louis Riel Capital Corporation in Winnipeg, MB. This full time role focuses on comprehensive accounting functions and financial reporting accuracy. In this position, you will oversee and execute various accounting operations, financial statements preparation, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Your role includes mentoring accounting staff and supporting budgeting as well as audits, contributing to strategic decisions that affect the company and the community. Key Responsibilities:
Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll operations
Prepare and assess financial reports and statements
Oversee financial compliance and audit coordination
Develop internal controls and accounting policies
Provide analytical support for budgeting and forecasting Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA designation required
At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience leading an accounting team and departmental duties
Knowledge of ERP systems or public accounting preferred
