Lead strategic communications and community engagement with Squamish Nation as their Director of Communications and Engagement. Drive storytelling and build vital connections across the organization and community. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee our communications and engagement function, rooted in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values.

With your strategic direction, you will enhance internal communications and community engagement to ensure alignment with the Nation's goals. The position offers prospects to guide membership communications and manage public-facing relations for successful storytelling. Key Responsibilities:
Lead department operations and strategic planning in communications
Provide advice to Leadership and Council on engagement efforts




Develop and implement community-focused communication strategies
Oversee media relations and issue management processes
Guide organizational change initiatives through coaching Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
8–10 years of senior communication experience
Minimum 5 years in leadership roles
Proven experience in managing complex issues
Understanding of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh culture and governance preferred Make a meaningful impact in community engagement and organizational excellence at Squamish Nation.
