In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily management of dairy cattle, ensuring their well-being through attentive care, proper feeding, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your hands-on approach and knowledge of farm machinery will contribute to the smooth operation of our dairy farm, supporting sustainable practices and high-quality milk production.

Responsibilities
Assist with the daily milking routine, ensuring cows are comfortable and milked efficiently
Monitor herd health by observing cattle behavior and identifying signs of illness or distress
Maintain clean and hygienic living conditions for the animals, including bedding management
Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, feed mixers, and other equipment safely and effectively
Perform routine repairs and mechanical tasks to keep equipment in optimal working order
Assist with feeding schedules, including handling heavy feed bags and ensuring proper nutrition
Support breeding programs by assisting with calving and related activities when needed

Experience




Previous experience working with livestock or on a dairy farm is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Mechanical knowledge is essential for maintaining farm machinery and troubleshooting minor issues
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
Familiarity with farm machinery operation, including tractors, feed systems, and cleaning equipment
Robust work ethic with a proactive attitude towards animal welfare and farm maintenance
