Duties
Perform comprehensive cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, fans, filters, and fire suppression systems in commercial kitchens.
Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning procedures.
Inspect exhaust systems for signs of damage, blockages, or buildup that could compromise safety or efficiency.
Use specialized tools and cleaning agents to remove grease, debris, and other residues from all components of the exhaust system.
Document cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance reports accurately for compliance purposes.




Coordinate with kitchen staff to schedule cleaning times that minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
Ensure all work areas are left clean and free of hazards after completing each job.

Skills
Previous custodial or cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
Solid knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to kitchen exhaust systems and grease removal.
Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Positive physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and restaurant staff.
