Contribute your expertise as an Investigative Review Specialist with the Office of the Child & Youth Advocate in Edmonton. This full time, 18-month role requires skill in investigative reviews and understanding of child welfare. As a vital member of the Office of the Child & Youth Advocate, you will conduct investigative reviews into responsible injuries or deaths of young individuals receiving designated services.

Your role involves gathering and analyzing information effectively, providing insights for systemic improvements, and advocating for children's rights in Alberta. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct investigative reviews of serious injury and death cases
Gather and analyze information from multiple sources




Engage with families and stakeholders for comprehensive insights
Track emerging themes to enhance broader understanding
Develop public-facing non-identifying reports from findings Requirements:
University degree in social work, psychology, or related field
Minimum five years of relevant experience within child services
Ability to lead complex projects effectively
Knowledge of Indigenous community issues and legislation
Valid Class 5 driver’s license required Utilize your analytical and cooperative skills to improve services for Alberta's young people.
