Join BCIT as a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator, working full-time to create a safe campus workplace. This role focuses on compliance and safety standards to protect the campus community. The Health, Safety & Workplace department at BCIT seeks a proactive coordinator to implement and manage our Occupational Health and Safety programs. You will evaluate health risks, develop safety procedures, and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.

Your responsibilities will include offering training sessions and participating in committee meetings to further promote a culture of safety among staff and students. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Develop safety policies and procedures across departments




Provide resources at Occupational Health and Safety meetings
Lead incident investigations and documentation
Coordinate health and safety training materials Requirements:
Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Minimum two years relevant experience
Knowledge of WHMIS and safety monitoring methods
Advanced skills in database management
Robust interpersonal and problem-solving skills Drive safety initiatives at BCIT through structural program development and community engagement.
