Help maintain safety in winter conditions as a Sander Operator for Garden River First Nation starting in September 2026. This contract role requires expertise in handling snow plow equipment under various weather challenges. You will be responsible for operating a variety of winter maintenance equipment, ensuring that local roads are well-maintained with effective snow removal techniques.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in heavy machine operation and understands the significance of First Nation values. Key Responsibilities:
Operate winter maintenance equipment effectively in harsh weather
Perform cleaning and maintenance on trucks and equipment
Fill out daily pre- and post-trip inspection logs
Troubleshoot light repairs and report major defects
Ensure all data is recorded for compliance with regulations Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is preferred
Valid “DZ” driver’s license and clean driving record
Minimum one year of related heavy equipment experience
Respect and knowledge of First Nation culture
