Porcherie la Montagne is looking for an individual to join our hog farm as a Farm Labourer handling livestock care. In this role, you will be an essential part of the team, working in the barns to ensure the health and well-being of our swine, while maintaining the site premises.
Job Duties
Feed and tend livestock, set and monitor automated feed, water, and environmental ventilation systems
Maintain overall cleanliness of pens, barns, and grounds, and assist with routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
Inspect livestock daily to monitor herd health and assist with animal care treatments under management direction
Follow and maintain site biosecurity, health, safety, and sanitation protocols
Assist in handling, sorting, and loading hogs for transport, and respond to site alarm calls as required
Job Requirements & Qualifications
No formal education required.
No formal experience required (will provide on-the-job training); prior farm or livestock experience is an asset.
English is required.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
