Seek out a challenging position as a Component Specialist, serving as a crucial link between Engineering and Supply Chain operations. Ensure availability of components for technical projects while managing change and obsolescence.
In this role, you will coordinate engineering responses to requests and oversee alternate component approvals. Work collaboratively to align Engineering and Supply Chain during project planning phases. Your efforts will also include monitoring component obsolescence and devising effective remediation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead coordination of engineering responses for supply chain needs • Assist in the approval of alternate components for projects • Align planning efforts between Engineering and Supply Chain • Collaborate on engineering changes with suppliers and teams • Support obsolescence planning and monitor component status
Requirements: • Degree/diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology • 3+ years of experience in a related technical field • Familiarity with electronic components, drawings, and layouts • Solid communication and organizational abilities • Must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods clearance
