Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services efficiently.
Duties
Assist current dispatch team in entering orders into software
Answer and manage incoming calls on phone systems
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Coordinate shipping and receiving activities
Analyze transportation data to optimize routes
Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL)
Ensure timely delivery of goods through effective supply chain management
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette in all interactions
Experience
A background in dispatch in the transportation industry is a bonus but not required
Required Skills:
Solid data entry skills
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
Ability to analyze transportation data for route optimization
Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in a supply chain workplace
Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
