Lead TELUS's Health & Safety initiatives as the Director, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team and driving a robust safety culture. This full time role entails strategic oversight of safety management systems, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting directly to the VP, People Practices & Consulting, the Director will develop, implement, and administer comprehensive safety strategies across the organization.

You will leverage your extensive expertise in safety practices and regulatory compliance to engage leaders and stakeholders effectively. This is a pivotal role in shaping TELUS's approach to health and safety. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of Safety specialists
Develop organizational safety strategies and programs




Monitor metrics to enhance operational performance
Act as senior Safety authority for leadership and regulators
Manage budget and optimize safety tools and systems Requirements:
15+ years in health and safety, preferably in Telecommunications
8+ years of leadership experience
Experience in unionized environments
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety
Relevant health and safety certifications preferred Drive TELUS’s safety vision through strategic planning, compliance oversight, and team leadership.
