The Division

Chief reports directly to the Fire Chief and is responsible for leading innovative fire safety solutions. This role encompasses everything from managing fire prevention programs to conducting inspections and guiding career development within the fire department. You will make a difference in the lives of residents and visitors alike. Key Responsibilities:
Lead fire prevention and public education initiatives
Ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code
Evaluate development proposals for safety adherence
Oversee training and recruitment of firefighters
Foster positive relationships within the community Requirements:
Completion of formal fire protection program
Minimum seven years of fire service experience
Supervisory experience in a municipal setting
NFPA certifications considered an asset
