This full time temporary role supports the Art Curator's Office with handling and documenting the university’s permanent art collection. The Art Gallery and Collections Technician will participate in installation, deinstallation, and safe transporting of artworks. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure artworks are securely stored and preserved
• Maintain accurate inventory and conduct inspections
• Process loans, acquisitions, and maintain records
• Install and deinstall art exhibits on campus
• Develop a web-accessible database resource
Requirements:
• Degree in fine arts or museum studies
• 2-3 years of art handling experience
• Proficient with information management systems
• Familiarity with art installation techniques and safety standards
• Excellent communication skills in English
