Alexandra Marine & General Hospital is seeking to recruit 1–2 dedicated Medical Radiation Technologists (MRTs) to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a part‑time basis . This is an excellent opportunity to provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative and supportive healthcare setting. MRTs perform a range of CT and General X‑ray examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and image quality.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program
- CMRTO registration and CAMRT registration
- Advanced Practice Certificates in additional sub‑specialties an asset (GI Fluoroscopy, CT, Mammo)
- Current CPR Certification preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in general imaging
- Experience in mammography, and/or ultrasound and/or CT an asset
- Working with PACS/HIS/RIS and in multiple modalities
Required Skills:
- Ability to handle stressful situations and changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, on call, and statutory holidays
- Able to maintain an effective working relationship with patients, physicians, hospital staff and the public.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Hospital Software experience an asset)
- Demonstrates initiative and good judgement in problem solving and identifying opportunities for action
- Excellent interpersonal/communication, verbal, written and organizational skills
- Professional demeanour and excellent attendance are required
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and preventative maintenance processes
- Responsible to ensure optimal: patient flow, equipment operation and procedures
