The Fraser Valley Regional District is hiring Lifeguards at Hope & Area Recreation Centre. This part-time prospect focuses on keeping our pool safe and welcoming.
In this role, you will oversee the safety of all patrons at the 25m pool, ensuring a clean environment. You’ll engage with the public, help provide swim lessons, and maintain a strong safety presence. This position is ideal for those who enjoy teamwork and public service while actively contributing to community safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety of swimmers and pool guests
• Keep the pool environment clean and well-maintained
• Offer assistance to swimming patrons
• Teach swim lessons if applicable
• Stay vigilant and professional throughout shifts
Requirements:
• Must be at least 15 years old
• Current National Lifeguard certification is required
• Standard First Aid + CPR Level C certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check
• Must be available for varying shifts, including weekends
