Shape the future of nuclear waste management as the Manager of Research and Collaboration at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) in Toronto. Lead innovative R&D; programs focusing on the Deep Geological Repository (DGR).
This full-time role requires coordination of technical research with a focus on engineered barrier systems and used fuel. You will drive collaboration with key stakeholders such as regulatory bodies and research institutions, ensuring alignment with NWMO's objectives. Your expertise will strengthen safety culture and foster multidisciplinary teamwork across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee technical research and development programs effectively
• Chair NWMO’s Technical Review Committee for research governance
• Prepare key regulatory documents and manage research strategies




• Coordinate national and international R&D; cooperation agreements
• Manage relationships with Canadian research organizations and universities
Requirements:
• Experience in research management with a focus on R&D;
• Strong knowledge of regulatory processes in nuclear waste
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in technical environments
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholder engagement
• Understanding of safety culture and its implementation
