Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class 3 commercial vehicle to deliver milk and dairy products to various locations, including retail outlets, farms, and distribution centers
Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling of delicate products
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal safety and performance standards
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries to ensure compliance and safety for yourself and others
Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and delivery schedules to ensure timely service
Assist with warehouse operations such as freight handling and inventory management when not on the road
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight or dairy products
Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (certification preferred)
Basic automotive repair skills for routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes
Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
