We are seeking a motivated and eager 310S Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the automotive trade while gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of licensed technicians.
As a 310S Apprentice, you will assist with the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of company vehicles to ensure they operate safely and reliably. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed technicians with routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and suspension issues using diagnostic equipment.
Learn to inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
Replace or repair vehicle components under the supervision of a licensed technician.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work setting.
Properly use and care for shop tools and equipment.
Accurately document maintenance and repair work completed.
Participate in manufacturer and apprenticeship training as required.
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and company procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Registered as a 310S Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, or eligible and willing to register.
Previous automotive repair experience (through employment, co-op, trade school, or personal projects) is considered an asset.
Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical systems.
Robust willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Robust communication and organizational skills.
Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence (required).
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
