Overview
Windsor/Essex CPR & First Aid Training Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Youth Leaders to facilitate Babysitting and Stay Safe courses for youth participants. This role involves engaging with young learners, delivering educational content, and fostering a safe and supportive environment. Ideal candidates are passionate about teaching, possess solid communication skills, and have experience working with children or in classroom settings. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing to community safety education.

Duties
Lead and facilitate Babysitting and Stay Secure courses for youth participants, ensuring content is engaging and age-appropriate
Prepare lesson plans in accordance with Red Cross standards
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence among students
Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during courses, maintaining a safe environment for all attendees

Skills




Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader certificate required
Robust tutoring or teaching experience, preferably with children or youth audiences
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information and instructions
Classroom experience or background in education is a plus
Ability to engage young learners through interactive teaching methods
Responsible, organized, and able to manage group dynamics effectively
Passionate about community service, safety education, and youth development

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
