Duties
Perform thorough cleaning of all areas within the child care centre, including classrooms, play areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and common spaces
Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively to maintain hygiene standards
Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor fixtures, and reporting larger repairs needed
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a sanitized environment
Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to environmental sustainability practices




Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or required after activities or events
Ensure all cleaning activities are completed efficiently without disrupting daily centre operations or children's routines

Experience
Proven experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning techniques suitable for environments with young children to ensure safety and hygiene is preferred
Familiarity with using various cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment safely and responsibly
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines accurately
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
