Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ/AZ Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites. This role requires a robust understanding of heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and construction site safety protocols. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team on diverse projects, ensuring timely and productive delivery of materials.
Duties
Safely operate DZ/AZ certified concrete mixer trucks to transport ready-mix concrete to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each load delivered.
Coordinate with site supervisors and construction crews to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project schedules.
Assist with loading and unloading materials, including operating loaders or other heavy equipment as needed.
Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations,
and company policies during transportation and delivery operations.
Support other construction activities such as paving, concrete forming, or finishing as required.
Qualifications
Valid DZ/AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance.
Experience in construction environments, particularly with concrete or paving projects.
Ability to operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and forming processes is advantageous.
Prior experience with concrete truck operation or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety protocols on job sites.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, loading, and unloading materials.
