Our Westboro Location (111 Richmond Rd) is looking for a Part Time Bakery Floor Shift Supervisor. This position requires 5am start times and availability on Fridays and Saturdays is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities on top of regular baking tasks:
Ensuring all bakery orders are correct and completed
Creating Production Lists
Help organizing holiday production
Checking and maintaining product consistency (look, taste, weight)
Prioritizing tasks for all staff on the floor to ensure everyone is working as efficiently as possible and that the production list and cleaning list get done in a timely manner.
Ensure that all parts of the bakery are kept clean and secure to work in. (From floors to equipment).
Troubleshooting and problem solving
Ensure that staff conversation is kept work appropriate and that staff do not let conversation get in the way of productivity.
Open and/or close the bakery, ensuring duties are done in a timely manner
Train recent staff
Keep an eye on the display case/freezer and ensuring it is as stocked and clean as possible. Delegate appropriately.
Keeping ingredient bags & bins full and rotated properly
Assist in serving customers when store gets busy or delegate accordingly
Handle customer complaints and difficult questions if need be
Answer phone calls.
Assist Store Manager as needed or in their absence
Ability to follow recipes and recreate baked goods.
