Our Sister-Company, Powell’s Supermarket is looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Nan’s Kitchen team as a Chef.

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced Nan's Kitchen Chef, receiving hands-on training in our recipes, production methods, food quality standards, and the unique approach that has made Nan's Kitchen a favorite among our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Train under and work alongside our experienced Nan's Kitchen Chef to learn all aspects of food
preparation and production
Prepare fresh, high-quality meals and ready-to-eat products while following established recipes and
presentation standards
Assist with the planning and preparation of daily and weekly production schedules
Learn and maintain Nan's Kitchen's quality, consistency, and customer service standards




Ensure strict compliance with Provincial and Federal food safety regulations
Follow HACCP procedures and all company food safety policies
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and minimizing product waste
Help create an exceptional customer experience by taking pride in the quality and presentation of every product
Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, deli, grocery, or food service setting is considered an asset
Culinary training, certification, or enrollment in an apprenticeship program is considered an asset
A genuine passion for cooking and a willingness to learn from an experienced chef
Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety
