Below are the main roles and responsibilities:
Program Management
Plan and oversee daily childcare programs for children.
Ensure programs support children’s learning, development, and well-being.
Make sure activities follow approved frameworks like play-based learning.
Staff Supervision
Hire, train, and supervise childcare staff and educators.
Assign duties and create staff schedules.
Conduct performance evaluations.
Support professional development for staff.
Compliance with Regulations
Ensure the centre follows all licensing requirements and safety regulations.
Maintain compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
Prepare for inspections by the Ministry of Education (Ontario).
Child Safety and Well-Being
Ensure a protected, healthy, and inclusive environment for children.
Handle incidents, accidents, and emergency procedures.
Ensure proper supervision ratios and safety policies are followed.




Communication with Parents
Communicate with parents about children’s development and daily activities.
Address concerns, complaints, or feedback from families.
Organize parent meetings and updates.
Administration and Record Keeping
Maintain records such as:
child enrollment
staff qualifications
attendance
health and incident reports
Manage budgets, supplies, and centre operations.
Policy Development
Develop and implement centre policies and procedures.
Ensure staff follow policies related to:
discipline
health and safety
inclusion
child protection.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
