Role Overview:
As an NDT Technical Report Writer, you will work closely with NDT technicians, project managers, and operations teams to convert inspection data into compliant, client-ready reports. You will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
This is a fast-paced, high-accountability role that directly supports field operations and customer deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, and finalize NDT inspection reports (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications
Review field data, inspection notes, and technician inputs for completeness and accuracy
Ensure reports meet internal quality standards and formatting requirements
Maintain organized digital records, logs, and supporting documentation
Support daily, weekly, and project-based reporting requirements
Coordinate with technicians and supervisors to resolve missing or unclear information
Meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency
Qualifications & Skills:
Robust written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and professionally
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Strong typing and document formatting skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment
Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
Experience with technical, engineering, or inspection documentation is considered an asset
Previous exposure to NDT terminology, inspection reports, or industrial services is a strong asset
