Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder Contractor to join our team for various manufacturing, construction, and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment. This role offers the prospect to work on diverse projects requiring precision welding and fabrication skills in a dynamic setting.

Duties
Perform MIG and TIG welding on structural components, ductwork, and other metal assemblies according to detailed schematics and blueprints
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication
Utilize plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to prepare materials for welding
Conduct rigging operations using cranes or forklifts to position heavy materials safely for welding or assembly
Perform mechanical tasks such as measuring with calipers, basic math calculations, and assembly of components based on schematics
Operate forklifts or other lifting equipment as needed for material handling and project setup
Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications while maintaining a clean work environment




Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and recommend improvements for efficiency or safety

Requirements
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding within manufacturing or construction environments
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining tools, calipers, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork, structural steel, or similar fabrication projects
Construction experience is highly desirable
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding and heavy equipment operation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to project deadlines

Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
