REM Therapy Services, located in Markham, serves York Region and the Greater Toronto Area by providing mental health support and trauma recovery. Specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy, REM Therapy Services is committed to helping individuals reduce stress and find calm. Role Description

This is an independent contractor role for an Associate Therapist. The Associate Therapist will be responsible for providing psychotherapy services, including EMDR therapy, to clients. Daily tasks include conducting therapy sessions, maintaining accurate client records, and developing individualized treatment plans. This is a hybrid role based in Markham, ON, with some work from home acceptable.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Registered and in good standing with your Ontario regulatory body (MSW/RSW, RP, RP(Q), or Psychologist)
- Basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with EMDRIA registration or eligibility
- Open to building toward 10+ client hours/week, including at least one evening or weekend day




- Comfortable providing both online and in-person sessions (Markham office)
- Ability to maintain accurate client records and create individualized treatment plans
- Passionate about trauma healing and collaborative care
- Fluency in additional languages considered an asset
