Responsibilities

· Create 3D models in SolidWorks: assemblies, parts, and drawings

· Measure and inspect components using a calipers, gauges, etc.

· Re-create parts in CAD based on physical samples

· Perform engineering calculations (static analysis) to ensure the designs are robust

· Prepare presentations in PowerPoint to showcase the design to the client

· Organize design documentation for patents or R&D; reports

Qualifications

· You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics Engineering

· Efficient use of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and Excel

· An understanding of the manufacturing methods for a variety of parts

· Tolerance stack-up analysis would be an asset





· You can understand complex engineering issues and are cutting-edge in problem solving.

· You are well organized and project-oriented; you pay attention to details and are a quick learner.

· You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and minimum supervision.

· Show up every morning with a positive attitude

· You are legally authorized to work in Canada

· Ability to communicate with our suppliers in China

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
