We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic teacher with a solid background in teaching Junior High Humanities, including Social Studies and complementary options. The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate interactive learning activities and a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners. You will demonstrate a solid understanding of effective teaching practices by creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment while using creative approaches to deliver meaningful and relevant curriculum content. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to student learning, and the ability to build positive relationships with students are essential. Experience integrating technology and utilizing a range of teaching strategies to engage all learners will be considered an asset.
This is a full time temporary replacement position commencing the first day of the 2026–2027 school year. This position is to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Alberta Education Junior High Humanities curriculum, including Social Studies and assigned options courses.
